前作『Vague Hotels』から間髪入れず次のピアノトリオ新作をリリースするサイモン・フィスク。今、カナダでノリにノッているカナダのベーシストの一人です。今回も、ピアニストに、Cellar Liveとも繋がりのあるピアニスト、Chris Gestrinを迎え、北国らしい、少し寒々とした透明感溢れる雰囲気の中に、コンテンポラリーなセンスと抒情性を盛り込んだ新作を届けてくれました。3人の狂いのないインタープレーは見事としかいいようがありません。内容的には、甘口のピアノトリオファンには少々ハードかもしれませんが、ピアノトリオの完成度としてはかなり高いものに仕上がっています。
