Shutdown Man gets it right with his debut LP, Beat The System. In fact, the album is action-packed with cool and intense alternative and modern rock songs. 'Number One In The Nation' is a massive rock anthem that would sound amazing in a stadium setting. 'You Can't Control Me' is all about hard-hitting crime action. 'Rough Around The Edges' is a cool and sexy southern rock song. 'I Wish You Were Mine' is Shutdown Man's one and only rock ballad, and it's awesome. 'Sinking Ship' is one of the coolest songs on the album, and 'Coming Back To Haunt Me' is an intense rap-rock song about the consequences of a life of crime. Shutdown Man wanted this album to sound tough and intense, and he has definitely succeeded. After listening to this album, don't be surprised if you're pumped up and ready to take on anything!
