ハイレベルな演奏を堪能できたが、やはり、わたしは、このレナード・バーンスタインの「ショスタコーヴィチ交響曲第5番「革命」」は、スピードが、早すぎると思う。２０００年から２０１０年前後に流行った「ショスタコーヴィチの交響曲」を、カラヤンの様に音の美しさや甘美さを優先して、遅く演奏したのは、大反対だが、かと言ってテンポよくは快速に演奏するにも、限度がある。特に、第4楽章のフィナーレで、アンサンブルが、完全に一致した快速は、かえって演奏を薄っぺらになる。この「ショスタコーヴィチ交響曲第5番「革命」」は、今回の演奏でもここが気になる。
