Dynamic British-Asian bass player Shez Raja formed his London-based Collective with the vision of creating exciting music that evokes all of the emotions - a unique mix of Indo-jazz, thundering funk, tuneful ragas and intoxicating grooves. The Collective's live show is an eclectic headcharge of raw energy and always leaves audiences uplifted, inspired and asking for more! Following spectacular performances at top UK venues and major international jazz festivals from Russia to New Zealand they have amassed a devoted fan base and forged a reputation as one of the most entertaining live acts on the scene today. Shez's stellar live and recording line-ups regularly include the cream of the UK and European jazz world. Third highly acclaimed album, Mystic Radikal features international jazz stars Andy Sheppard and Claude Deppa and live shows have included Arun Ghosh and Denys Baptiste, amongst others. Shez's latest all-star live album, Soho Live (33 Jazz), features Soweto Kinch, Gilad Atzmon, Monika Lidke, Shabaka Hutchings and Jay Phelps.
