Product Description

2009 release. Mid Summer at the Winters is a bunch of spontaneous guitars accompanied by an orchestra of bugs, birds and frogs, rendered as data, by a machine with a human attached to it, pushing buttons. It's a full length album of new tracks, all taken from a single days recording out on a friends farm, with all the insects and wildlife punching in, and then edited at home mostly in Kentucky, some in Colorado. It is a pleasant mix of pretty, sparkling melodic electronics and beats, warm atmospheric, shimmering textures and a Hip Hop feel both in the beats and vocal delivery. There are jazzier moments with horns, some cinematic Post-Rock moments and a sweet acoustic guitar. May well appeal to fans of Prefuse 73, Why? and Bracken.
