Series 4 saw the writers develop Captain Picard even further, beginning with him paying a long overdue visit to the French village where he grew up in 'Family' and seemingly falling in love in 'Qpid', only to have Q turn up and transform him into Robin Hood. 'Remember Me' is another inventive parallel dimension adventure that finds Dr Crusher seemingly being the only person to notice that the Enterprise crew keeps shrinking in numbers. 'Brothers' sees the return of Data'sevil brother Lore, as their creator summons Data to have an emotion chip installed in him. Wesley waves goodbye to the Enterprise as he sets off for Starfleet Academy, though not before he has one last adventure in 'Final Mission'. Occasional crew member Reg Barclay gets another episode to himself as he becomes super intelligent after being scanned by an alien probe. 'Redemtion: Part 1' ends the series in fine form with a traditional cliffhanger as the Enterprise must mediate between warring factions of the Klingon Empire.
