Product Description

It's almost twenty years since the break-up of Yellow Magic Orchestra - Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi and Ryuichi Sakamoto - the legendary techno trio that ruled Japanese and European electronic music from late 70s through to early 80s and set the standard by which all the electronic artitsts are judged. Although the three regrouped temporarily in 1997, it's been thought unlikely that the greats would rejoin and record an album together - but they did, this time in a different form. Here is the Sketch Show, the duo formed by Hosono and Takahashi, unveiling the moods and moments that will take techno/electronica music deeper into the new century. The set features contributions from the likes of Tei Towa and, as you may have expected, Ryuichi Sakamoto.

'02年発表｡高橋幸宏と細野晴臣の新ﾕﾆｯﾄが､ついにﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰ･ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを発表した｡坂本龍一もｹﾞｽﾄ参加する曲があり､あのYMOの3人が揃う形に｡ﾃｸﾉの時代の感覚で､ｱﾝﾋﾞｴﾝﾄ､ｴﾚｸﾄﾛﾆｶ､ﾗｳﾝｼﾞ､ｴｷｿﾞﾁｶ､ｻｲｹﾃﾞﾘｯｸ､ﾌｧﾝｸ､ｼﾞｬｽﾞなどを融合する音楽性は､強者ならでは｡そのうえで､独自のﾎﾟｯﾌﾟ･ｾﾝｽやﾕｰﾓｱも伝わる｡ﾃｲ･ﾄｳﾜも参加｡

構想20年!遂に始動した`ﾛｰﾏﾆｯｼｪｽ･ｶﾌｪ'改め`ｽｹｯﾁ･ｼｮｳ'♪一聴して､派手にｲﾝﾊﾟｸﾄを与えてくれる音ではありませんが､聴き込む程に単なる懐古趣味では終らない､ﾃｸﾉﾎﾟｯﾌﾟとﾃｸﾉの融合体の正体が見えて来ます｡名盤♪
