ラッシュのデヴュー・アルバム。カナダ版ゼップってとこだろうか。このあとのアルバムから組曲が収録されはじめ、プログレ・ハードのラッシュに変貌していく。

カナダ・オシャワ出身のゲディとアレックスがジョンをドラムに加えて自作した1st。個人的には①⑥⑧が好みだが、クロニクルスのライナーノーツにある通り、やっぱりツェッペリンは拭えません。しかし、ゲディのベースは既に完成されていて、ファンならずとも耳を傾けることになるかも知れません。まぁ、聞く人の好みにもよりますが、ファンだからこそ原点のこのアルバムは最高です。

２５年前に名盤１００選ということで、ジャケット買いのような形で始めて買った記憶がある。結構当時zepのまねとかいろいろいわれてたが、hard rockとしてはテクは十分あったのではないか。未だにfiding my wayはギターで弾いてしまう。
