Rtfo is a band from Dothan, AL. It is the culmination of years of musical dedication. Founder and vocalist, Kevin Thompson, started the project years ago, yet unnamed and without direction. Members came and went. Bassist, Andrew Head, however, stayed true. He and Kevin played acoustic guitar duets while searching for bandmates. Meanwhile, cajnist, Diego Rojas, moves to Dothan from Lima, Per. He and Kevin are first cousins, and Kevin invites him to join the group. Soon afterwards, Diego's brother-in-law, Dave Shelly, joins as the bassist. At this time Andrew played lead acoustic guitar. This was the beginning of the name Rtfo. After a only a year, though, Dave moved away, and the band was back down to three. While driving in town one day, Kevin finds himself next to lead guitarist, Zachary Cook, at a red light. Kevin mentions the band and Dave's departing. Zach joins the band, and Andrew takes over the bass. With new-found melodies and inspiration, Rtfo plays the Dothan area for two years. Along the way they win three Battle of the Band competitions, one of which had a prize of two days' studio time. In Your Face was recorded on December 6 & 7, 2013. This first album contains songs spanning over ten years in the life of Kevin Thompson. During this same time, conga player, Lance Renfroe, joins the band. With the newly added percussion, Rtfo is thicker and more rhythmic than ever. Toe-tapping rhythms and high energy define Rtfo. But Rtfo is more than music. It's a passion. It's pure creative spirit expressed through music. It's the world turned inside-out, back to it's roots, naked, right in your face!
