Product Description

Limited edition, deluxe vinyl-replica packaging. The meticulously crafted (13.5 cm) thick-cardboard package replicates the original vinyl LP while the CD is designed in the style of the vinyl itself (with it's original label). Recorded in the Bahamas in 1979 Robert Palmer's Secrets is infused with the influence of island rhythms and instrumentation but it also reflects Palmer's interest in funk and soul and is tinged with rock guitars, like in the catchy What's It Take.

彼のアルバムの中で最初に買ったＬＰがこれ...

彼のアルバムの中で最初に買ったＬＰがこれでした。発売間もないころで、レコード屋の店員さん（私の音楽の師匠で、アマチュアバンドのヴォーカリストでした）に勧められたのが、切っ掛けでした。その方のお勧めは、私にとって殆どハズレが無かったので、勿論、大好きになり中古レコードショップへ行っては、以前の作品を探し捲くりました。但し、この先輩は、ブリティッシュロック専門で、そちら系の音楽にはかなり造詣が深かったですね～。それから数年後に来日してくれて、当時の彼女とコンサート、行きました。当時、スーツ姿でロックが似合うミュージシャンは、彼とブライアンフェリー位ではなかったでしょうか？彼の声、音楽のセンス（後期は、自作が無くなりましたが）服装と皆、私の好みでした。アリガトウ～！
