Jazzでは決して無いけれどフレーズは無理なくクラプトンやロビーロバートソンと比肩するギタリストだと思います。音色の趣味も素晴らしいし。この前のカールトンとのライブをブルーノートで見ましたが人柄も良さそげでした。

彼のお陰で私はテレキャスターを衝動買いした。アルバムジャケットで手にしている黒っぽいギターは今や幻のBakerロベンフォードモデルですね。６，７，１１曲目あたりで使ってるのがそうかな？ カヴァー中心の構成ですがセンスいいですねぇ。 女性も好む？歌声も健在です。

今回はちょっと違うアプローチかな。印象としては懐かしいフィラデルフィアソウルってな感じでその中にご機嫌なブルースが入っていて良いです。ギターは小気味良く,艶っぽい高音、少し暴れる中音域、締まった低音、”あの”アンプとの相性も抜群。もはや幻となってしまったギターを持ってのカバーに小生シビレてます。
