Stranded

Recorded at Battle Bend Studios, Congress House, and Regan's own living room, 'Stranded' delivers rock-solid Americana/roots music (with touches of swing and samba) and features some of the best Austin musicians around: Warren Hood, Merel Bregante, Ray Bonneville, Richard Bowden, Etan Sekons, Kyle Clayton, Leah Zeger, and Brad Johnston. Regan got her first guitar-a $12 Sears Silvertone-in junior high, and she's been a scribbler/writer from high school on. But it wasn't until she moved to Austin in 1998 that her love of music and words converged and a songwriter was born. Like countless others, she crossed the city limits with a beat-up car, an old guitar, and a maxed-out MasterCard. A decade later she's woven her observations and a few hard-won life lessons into the seven songs you'll find on 'Stranded.' Like her life journey, the record moves from isolation and upheaval ('Mandolin Dan,' 'Ring in the River,' 'Stranded Here in Oz') to happiness ('Rhythms of Time,' 'When the Angels Designed Your For Me'), hope ('Tell Me Te Amo'), and being her own woman ('No Man At All').
