Red440's songs produce a powerful blend of musical styles. Although each song leans toward a particular flavor, hints of other genres permeate in every song. The style/genres can range from pop/rock/hip hop on the lead track Center of the World; to pop/Latin on Don't Push; to pop/rock on Silhouettes and Never Want to Say Goodbye'; and a blues/jazz/dance on Apex Predator; to even a heartfelt ballad on I'll Hold On. And just to mix up the genres some more, if you like folk and R&B, there's a pop/folk/R&B on Shattered. The focal point of this album is lead vocalist Kris Haydel. He has a unique ability to express a variety of vocal characters in Red440's songs. From the hard, driving edge at the end of Never Want to Say Goodbye to the warm, soothing tones of 'Shattered', there's a little something for every listener. This genre blending is mediated through the artistry of their producer and co-writer, James DuMaine. His ability to adapt to every style of music is evident throughout Everyone's Expendable.
