Madman's Moon

This is the first release from the guitar duo of Rebecca Shrimp ton and Eric Hofbauer. Shrimp ton is a bright new voice in jazz, and Hofbauer is from the Blueprint Project (in 2004, he released his solo CD American Vanity, CNM #3). At a time when alot of jazz singing seems superficial, it is refreshing to hear Shrimp ton and Hofbauer, two musicians who not only have a deep knowledge of their material, but also search for something new and fresh on every tune. They consistently make spontaneous interpretive choices that are so appropriate that they jolt the listener into a new awareness of the song's beauty and meaning. - Ed Hazell.
