2012年9月にRebeccaが卵巣がんで逝去したとのニュースがBaltimore Sunに載っていました。54才だったとのこと。彼女は、NY在住ですが、元々はBaltimore出身だったんですね。本作以外に彼女のCDは無いようですから、彼女が無くなった年に発売されたこのCDは、デビュー作であると同時に遺作ということになるのでしょう。選曲は、ガーシュイン、ボブ・ディラン、ミッシェル・ルグランなど、どれも馴染のある曲を魅力的な雰囲気で歌っています。個人的には、スローテンポで歌っているキャロク・キング作曲の”Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”が気に入っています。ご冥福をお祈りします。
