コンチェルトは1978年、四半世紀ぶりのオケとの競演となったカーネギー･ホールでのライヴ録音（ステレオ）、ソナタは1980年のRCAセッション録音。ホロヴィッツならではのダイナミズムと繊細な表現が素晴らしい名演。オーマンディの指揮もさすが。
