The Philipp Nykrin Trio has already developed it's individual sound using a variety of musical influences from HipHop and electronic music. Philipp Nykrin's compositions also exhibit their own individual language of form and harmony. It will always be jazz, says Philipp Nykrin, even if that is only the starting point. Matthias and Peter provide a rhythm section which offers me the necessary support I need and are, as solo artists, also in the position to form the character of piece from their own perspective thus allowing me to constantly rediscover my own compositions. Philipp Nykrin's epic compositions bring a lot of the European will to get things accomplished to the jazzground of the trio and promote the closest interaction. In Matthias Pichler and Peter Kronreif we have one of the best young rhythm sections in the country who make a great contribution to a piano trio act with High End character.
