リズムセクションにスライ&ロビー、ギターはロン・ブライアン、キーボードとピアノにボビー・カルファットとアンセル・コリンズ、ホーン隊にはトミー・マクックと、ハーマン・マーキスといった名立たるメンバーがフィル・プラットの元に集結し1979〜80年にChannel Oneで録音されたのが本作である。ダブミックスも同スタジオでフィル・プラット自身と、当時Channel Oneのお抱えエンジニアであったバニー・トムトムによって行なわれた。
