Take Flight

Songwriter, guitarist, and bandleader Pelham 'Pel' Houchin is a veteran of the SF Bay Area music scene. He has been an active musician and songwriter since the late 60's, and has a passion for playing live and sharing the pleasures that music conveys. He has played bass and guitar in many types of bands and now fronts The Pelicans. The Pelicans came to be in the summer of 2011 and have been gaining new fans wherever and whenever they perform. They play several songs from Pel's solo CD 'WTF' that was released in May 2011, and have a new batch of tunes coming out in August? 2013 on their new CD titled Pel & the Pelicans 'Take Flight'. Pel & the Pelicans play Americana, blues, country, Celtic, rock, folk and original songs. They cover songs by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Merle Haggard, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Marty Robbins, Roger Miller, Tennessee Ernie Ford, The Traveling Willburys, Roy Orbison, Dr. Hook, The Highwaymen, Willie Nelson, the Searchers, The Band, Tom Petty, and many others. Instrumentation includes: acoustic guitars, flute, standup bass, mandolin, electric guitar, penny whistle, percussion and drums. Vocals with harmonies. The band is available for.........
