With a new line up - percussionist and vocalist Richard Bona, trumpeter Cuong Vu and drummer Antonio Sanchez - joining long-time pianist/collaborator Lyle Mays, bassist and co-producer Steve Rodby (now in his 20th year with the group) and Metheny, this is one of the most exciting, creative and inviting recordings of the group's already long and illustrious career. If you're already a fan, then you'll find it very reminiscent of the heady days of 'Still Life Talking', need we say more?

新しい風のように、ベーシスト兼ボーカリス...

新しい風のように、ベーシスト兼ボーカリストにリチャード・ボナが参加してます。 リチャード・ボナを起用することの好きずきで、評価が分かれそうなアルバム。 ちなみにSteve Rodbyは、コントラバス、チェロを弾いています。 注文して聴いて欲しい点は、ここからドラムスにAntonio Sanchezが参加すること。 先々のパットのキャリアに大きな影響を与えていきます（と僕は思います）。 新メンバーのトランペット、ボーカルのCuong Vu は、後に自身のアルバム「Cuong Vu Trio Meets Pat Metheny」にパットがゲスト参加しています。 そちらもカッコイイアルバムですよー。

とにかく、グループとしては最高のメンバーではないだろうか。メセニー、メイズ、ロドビーの斬新かつ心地よいアンサンブルに、サンチェスの繊細なシンバルレガート、何度聞いても鳥肌ものだ。静と動、悲しみと喜び、すべてここにある気がする。
