いま、を代表する二人のジャズミュージシャン、1954年生まれのパット・メセニーと1970年生まれのブラッド・メルドーがタッグを組んで2006年にノンサッチ・レコードから発表したアルバム。 メルドーは13歳の頃にパット・メセニー・グループのライヴ・アルバム『トラヴェルズ』の曲「Are You Going with Me?」を聴き衝撃を受けたとのこと。 ジャズファンにとっても、メルドーにとっても、夢の顔合わせだったんだろう。 3曲がメルドーの曲、個性的なコード進行がライル・メイズとは全く異なる物語を膨らませている。

メセニーのギターとメルドーのピアノのデュオ・アルバム。 メルドーは、音数の少ない、控えめな楽想の中に独特の風変わりな味を加えるスタイル。 メセニーのような達人とのデュオは、彼の良い面が十分に引き出されているように感じた。 ベース、ドラムスを加えたカルテットの演奏もあるが、 そこではメルドーのピアノは埋没してしまいがちだった。 メセニーは、曲によってアコースティック・ギターに持ち替えたりなど、 アルバムの中で変化を付けるよう工夫が見られた。
