下の「攻殻機動隊GHOST IN THE SHELL」への投稿に大賛成。BONO自体、ジャパニメーションの威力について理解している発言を、あるファンクラブ誌でみたことがある。そもそもこの作品自体が、あの映画『マトリックス』をつくりしめさせたわけだし、続編『イノセンス』もカンヌへの出展作と、海外での評価はジャパニメーションでも最高峰なわけだ。思慮深さはジブリを超えている。このとんでもない作品に『パッセンジャーズ』としてのU2の“メンバー”とイーノが関わった、これは日本のファンとしては事件、といってもいい。
