Product Description

Party At the Moontower features long-time Gulf Coast musicians Kennon Barton, Pat Powell (The Ingalloids), Marlowe Ramirez, and Michael Ross (Cyclosane, The Bailout Plan). Formed in the Summer of 2010, the group joined after years of playing acoustic shows together in separate bands. As Songwriting and recording has always been the driving force in arranging live performances, the group has been recording and selling their music independantly for 2 years. In that time they have worked to combine different influences and styles to create songs that carry deep meanings and memorable lyrics. Individual songs tend to be eclectic combinations of different subgenres of Rock, but 'The Sky is Falling' can most easily be described as upbeat, melodic rock with elements of Grunge, Pop, and Psychedelia. They have performed and toured all along the Gulf Coast as well as parts of Texas, headlining the Full Moon Festival Fall '11 in Dallas as well as playing 2 years in a row at SXSW in Austin. The band is currently preparing to tour with their latest EP 'The Sky is Falling,' and in the Summer of 2012 will begin their 3rd independant recording project, a 6 song EP scheduled to hit before the end of the world, Dec. 2012. Press - A band with talent and obvious musical charisma, each member of Party At the Moontower brings something different to the table that contributes to the overall sound of the band, which is both seamless and diverse. Though the full experience of the band is edgy, somewhat psychedelic melodic rock with grungy guitars and vocal harmonies, they have also been performing their music as an acoustic act from the beginning. This duality offers fans a chance to see the same band in a completely different light and experience their music in a stripped, intimate atmosphere. Of course, it doesn't really matter what version of Party At the Moontower you get to see, because it is going to be good, honest rock show either way. Their genuine attitudes and fun, relaxed personalities are a part of what appeals to their fans even beyond their music and their performance, and this keeps people coming back. - Scott Keller, Gulf Coast Observer.
