Paris Hilton

In addition to being a famous socialite, Paris Hilton has dabbled in modelling, acting, writing and now singing. Best described as a "celebutante", Hilton started working on this album in 2004, with rumours of collaborations between The Black Eyed Peas and Le Tigre spreading across the Internet like wild fire proving unfounded, as 'Paris' finally arrives.

Much of the album is a collaboration with producer and co-writer Scott Storch (Beyoncé, Christina Aguliera). Paris and Storch met in his Miami-based studio last May and the first fruits of their work was the infectious opening track 'Turn It Up'. In all, Storch produced six of the tracks that are included on the album including 'Fightin' Over Me' which features guest appearances from Fat Joe and Jadakiss, the '80s-style ballad 'Heartbeat' and the remarkable interpretation of Rod Stewart's 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?' that represents the only cover to be featured on the album.

Elsewhere, the reggae-tinged 'Stars Are Blind' is the perfect summer single. Co-produced and co-written by Shep Solomon, winner of the Ivor Novello Award for Natalie Imbruglia's 'Shiver', the track was completed with Fernando Garibay and Ralph McCarthy. JR Totem's finely crafted use of the horns from the 'Grease' title track make 'I Want You' a true highlight of the album whilst 'Screwed', an early pre-Warners demo track, was re-recorded with Greg Wells, Kara DioGuardi and Rob Cavallo.
