Five original compositions played by a sextet which features New York baritone saxophonist Frank Basile (Vanguard Big Band, Jimmy Heath, Joe Lovano, Dave Holland) and Spanish pianist Albert Sanz (Kurt Rosenwinkel, Chris Cheek, Jorge Rossy). Also featured are some of the best jazz musicians in the UK Steve Fishwick on trumpet, Osian Roberts on tenor, Matt Fishwick on drums and Dave Whitfrod on bass. The group uses 1960s Hard Bop sounds as a starting point but with a contemporary feel.
