このライブ録音のVol.1は名盤の誉れ高いが...

このライブ録音のVol.1は名盤の誉れ高いが、こちらのVol.2は若干影が薄いように感じる。思うに、Vol.2ではお世辞にも上手いとは言えないヴァイオリンのプレイがフィーチャーされているからではないかと思う。多管におけるバッキングでは効果的なオーネットのヴァイオリンのプレイだが、ソロで聴くには辛いものがある。Vol.1を気に入ったからといって同じくらいの感動が必ずしもVol.2で得られる保証はないことに注目したい。
