On The Leyline

After being courted by several labels, Ocean Colour Scene decided to put the latest fruits of their labours on their own Moseley Shoals imprint, and their first release is their brand new studio album 'On The Leyline'. Produced by Woodbine Studios by John Rivers (The Specials), the 13 track album includes the Paul Weller penned 'For Dancers Only'.

Brimming over with needle-sharp rockers (the XTC-esque title track) and joyous Everly Brothers inspired romps ('Two Lovers'), 'On The Leyline' sees OCS breaking free of their comfort zone at every turn. If first single 'I Told You So' is a jangle pop classic, 'On The Leyline' boasts an experimental side too. The caustic 'Mr Brown' sees the future PM get a well-deserved dressing down set to a jaunty calypso, whilst the sublime 'These Days' sees Steve supply lead vocals on a psychedelic excursion reminiscence of Buffalo Springfield's 'Everydays'.
