Novox

Novox is the name of an instrumental project led by Dick HEIJBOER, CLIFFHANGER's keyboards player before it's split in the year 2001. It is noticeable that his former accomplices also contributed to that experience as well, including bass player Gijs KOOPMAN, now involved in KNIGHT AREA. Guitarist Mark VERMEULE completes that Dutch crew. Published in the year 2005 on the Musea label, the eponymous album contains a collection of twelve instrumental pices, showcasing Progressive rock flavoured with jazz-rock, experimental or contemporary music for some parts. On the edge of the Seventies (Melodies, inspiration and nice keyboards parts ala GENESIS...) and Eighties (Power and energy), sometimes exprimental, Novox offers a captivating contrasted universe. This diversity in inspiration and influences, as the excellency of the performance, makes this project a real achievement. Not to be missed !
