Product Description

Both inspired and frustrated by the urban and suburban landscapes from which it emerged, TNL's Less Radio expresses the sensibility of the city and it's satellites. Track 1 -- Dead End Rock: The EP's first song and lead single is driven by a dance beat and a lead synth line that reflects TNL's 80's influences and is for fans of synthy dance rock. Track 2 -- Timeout, NY: A pop rock song with heavy drums, a tinge of folky harmonica, soulful harmonies, and bright telecaster chords. This song's chorus is begging to be sung at 4am in bars up and down Second Avenue. Track 3 -- Skyline Blues: The song's dirty guitar and Ramones inspired harmonies on the chorus is a nod to gritty downtown New York. If Best Coast was from New York instead of California, they might sound like this. Track 4 -- Charlotte Arms: The song starts off as a beautiful acoustic ballad but transforms into an anthem by the end with U2 inspired guitar riffs and a powerful marching drum outro. Track 5 -- Less Radio: The EP's title track is set in a dark, post-apocalyptic future. The song's desperate and catchy chorus (We only know less radio) offers hope in a bleak setting. Track 6 -- Penn Station: With a driving back beat and aggressive acoustic guitar, this song tells the story of the destruction of one of the greatest New York City landmarks. It's catchy, sing-a-long refrain invites us to reflect on the past (I'm on my way to old Penn Station to forget the things we've done), but also carries a thoughtful message for today.
