Product Description

2007 debut full-length release from My Sister Klaus (AKA Guillaume Teyssier), produced by Joakim. Teyssier composes his songs alone with his guitar in a small flat in the center of Paris, with boneless drafts of songs on a hot summer night. Teyssier played some of his songs for Joakim, and they recorded this album that perches right on the edge of Rock, Folk music and French Pop. Guillaume Teyssier's musical world is full of references: The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed, but there's also the swampy white soul of Al Green, psycho noisy rock like the Jesus and Mary Chain, the contemplative blues of John Fahey and the great French pop of Gainsbourg. The result is a castle, a construction that is about urban myths as well as dreams and escape, combining the roughness of the city and the melancholy of a young romantic. Tigersushi.
