これだけ多くの者によって編曲された展覧会の絵を違和感なく聞かせてくれるスラトキンも素晴らしいが、ムソルグスキーの素晴らしさ、この曲の普遍性を感じる。 たぶんオルガン曲に編曲されても成立するだろうと思わされました。

これだけ多くの者によって編曲された展覧会の絵を違和感なく聞かせてくれるスラトキンも素晴らしいが、ムソルグスキーの素晴らしさ、この曲の普遍性を感じる。 たぶんオルガン曲に編曲されても成立するだろうと思わされました。

こんな面白い企画を今の指揮者たちの中でやってくれるのはスラットキンだけでしょう。批評家たちからは嫌われそうですが、こういった演奏があったって良いじゃないか！という感じです。展覧会の絵はラヴェル版＞ストコフスキー版＞その他という具合な演奏回数ですが、何もラヴェルだけの編曲がすばらしいわけじゃないというのがこのＣＤでも判るはずです。もしほかの編曲にも興味をもたれたらそちらも聴いてみてはいかがでしょう。
