Digitally remastered and expanded edition containing seven bonus tracks. Happy Birthday To Me was the alt-rock bands third album, originally released in 1997. When singer, songwriter and guitarist Kim Shattuck took the production reins for the album, The Muffs knew they were going to deliver something special. As she writes in the liner notes for the albums rerelease, It was the first time I ever produced, and I was super proud of my new batch of songs. Happy Birthday To Me had more hooks than my daddys fishing hat, according to drummer Roy McDonald, and, bassist Ronnie Barnett says, All cylinders were firing, our collective dream was being lived, and it was on our terms. Twenty years later, , the album is as vital as ever.

MUFFSの作品の中で一番良く聴いたアルバムです。キムの歌声は素晴らしい！！何度泣きそうになったことか。このアルバムでベストは「OUTER SPACE」他、捨て曲なし。来日公演の感動は一生忘れない。生きているうちにもう一回見たい！
