Product Description

Paris 1900, impoverished writer Christian (Ewan McGregor) falls in with local artist Toulouse-Lautrec and his followers who are trying to put on a play. Whilst trying to get the Moulin Rouge to put it on Christian meets and falls in love with the clubs star, Satine (Nicole Kidman), though she also has an admirer in the form of a rich Duke who could help the club out of its troubles. Satine begins to fall in love with Christian, which could bring disaster not only for them but for the club as the Duke'sjealousy grows and grows. Director Baz Luhrman's musical is a wonder to behold, visually dazzling with magical musical numbers and perfect casting with Ewan and Nicole as the doomed lovers.

1899年、夜のパリに瞬く魅惑のナイトクラブ“ムーラン・ルージュ”。その華麗なショーは人々を魅了したが、実のところセットにカネをかけすぎ経営は火の車。オーナーのジドラーは、資産家の公爵に新しいショーの主役サティーンをあてがうことで投資を引き出そうと考えていた。本格的な女優を目指していたサティーンもパトロンを必要としておりジドラーの申し出に不満はない。しかしサティーンは青年舞台作家クリスチャンをパトロンと勘違いしてしまい、それがきっかけで二人は愛し合うようになってしまう……。
