Maverick Life

Morris Allen was born in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Butte, Montana. He has lived and traveled throughout the United States ; exploring the many moods and styles of our great country as well as being exposed to the best and worst that human nature has to offer. This diversity and experience is well reflected in his music. He currently resides in a self-built home on the Chihuahua Desert of southwest Texas, along the Mexico border, where he is just one of many writers, musicians, and other artists that find inspiration in the solitude and rugged beauty of the Big Bend area. 'Maverick Life' is the first release from Morris Allen. The album is a genre-bending journey of twelve songs that cannot be lumped into any single musical category. Imagine one part rock, one part country, and one part folk, with just enough south-of-the-border influence to spice things up. The lyrics are provocative with a poetic cadence that covers a variety of subjects. This is serious ear candy for the more cerebral music fans. Also, this album has a very high production quality, so do yourself a favor and listen to it on a decent stereo.
