このディスクでは、まずはアーノンクールだろう。シンティッラ管弦楽団というのは初めて聴いたが、弦の力強さ、リュートのリズム、管の美しさともになかなかのもの。アーノンクールとの呼吸も合う。続いては、ヘンシェルとカサロヴァ。ヘンシェルは、これまで宗教曲のソリストとしてしか知らなかったが、オペラもうまい。ここでのカサロヴァは、しっとりと歌い上げていく。また、他の歌手陣も粒が揃う。ただ、演出については、かつてのポネルとアーノンクールのモンテヴェルディ３作のインパクトが大きかったせいもあって、ここでのグリューバーはなんだか物足りなさが残る。なお、映像・音質はともに上々。
