Monroe Sky

Monroe Sky is an alternative rock band based out of Colorado. The five members; Jason Bell (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Crownover (Bass), Clint Petrun (Drums/Percussion), Matt Sanders (Guitar), and Terran Hause (Keyboard/Vocals) combine their varied musical backgrounds to create the distinct sound that is Monroe Sky. Originally created for a Jazz performance requirement at the University of Denver, with Clint, Jason, and Matt, they later moved to a more rock oriented approach. Jason's catchy lyrics and structures, combined with Clint's unique fusion of syncopated rock beats, and Matt's riff centered guitar playing created the nucleus for the first Monroe Sky songs. The later additions of Terran Hause, who provides soaring vocal harmonies in addition to keyboards, and Aaron Crownover's thumping-funk-o-licious bass lines, round out the current line-up of Monroe Sky. After playing numerous shows in the Colorado Front range area, and learning many of the ins and outs of on stage performance and the art music business, the group hit Mammoth Cave Studio in Denver and partnered with Tim Gerak to record the debut album that released July 26th, 2013. Monroe Sky looks forward to continuing their musical endeavors while expanding their audience and musical knowledge.
