Product Description

The brainchild of Seattle Industrial scene veteran musician Wesley Rogers, Mixed Messages hit the ground running with our first live performance in 2012. If you listen to our music, you'll either love it or hate it. We combine elements of Industrial Metal, punk rock, synth pop and pepper it with just enough of the 'Seattle Sound' in homage to the grunge bands we listened to as kids. It's a unique thing that has been described as everything from 'C*k rock, BullS**T Noise' to 'effing genius'. A modernized interpretive metaphor of Dante's : Inferno from the Divine Comedy. It's dark, gritty, and just plain ugly at times with howling guitars, vocals ridden with torment, angst and anger, distorted break-beats mixed with club-worthy drum beats and awkwardly sexy bass-lines mixed in with some of the most disturbing sampling and snarling synth lines. The basic idea is that at the beginning of the album, we see inside the mind of a man ruled by his emotions whom has recently gone over the proverbial edge, and quit by accident in a fit of jealous rage he accidentally commits suicide. From here Virgil takes him into Hell, not as a tourist or a reporter, but this time as to start his eternal struggle to admit his sins and beg forgiveness. Determined not to give up his convictions, he elects to seek vengeance and seeks justice by redeeming himself. Listen in on his thoughts as he descends through each layer of Hell, against all odds, shining a light on the true evil that no one wants to know is there. *All songs Written and Performed by Mixed Messages Produced by Mx Records Recorded by Wesley Rogers and N.
