Mass in Blues was first produced on vinyl over forty years ago and quickly became the most popular version of the christian liturgy on the air in Belize. Responding to overwhelming demand, Frankie has made his original work available online. Mass in Blues is a living memorial to Frankie's music teacher Mrs. Laura Staine who died tragically in an automobile accident in 1970. It features musical arrangements of parts of the Christian liturgy and five hauntingly melodic, yet deeply opitmistic pieces giving testimony to the searching of a young man for the meaning and purpose of life after experiencing a tragic loss. Mass in blues is a gloriously moving tribute which transcends denominational dogmas and speaks to the hearts of people of all ages, races and creeds.
