高画質のライブDVDがすばらしい。マイルズ自伝には、この時期の演奏はほとんど録音していないとあったので、これだけ状態の良いライブが残っていたことに感謝。そしてBootleg Series Vol.3には1970年を期待します。

音質がまちまちな既発のブートレグ3タイルに対して、統一感を持たせたかったのかトータル・コンプで押しつぶした感じでいかにも放送音源風にサウンド・メイクされています。CDで購入しましたが最近のきらきらクリアなオーディオだと面白味がなく星ひとつマイナス。むしろ発売予定のLPレコードをSANSUI+JBLで聴きたくなりました。 よくぞ見つけてくれたと言うべきDVDの映像ともどもプレイぶりはエキサイティングの一言。映像でも確認できますが、ハードパンチの応酬の中、お互いによく相手の音を聴いてますね。Jazzというイデオムに収まりきれないパワー、スピード、テンションは痛快です。

ベルリンのライブが超高画質で驚きです。よくこんなものが残ってましたね。これだけでこの盤は買いです。噂のアンチーヴの2日目も入ってるし。
