Songs are what it’s about with Milburn, and ‘Well Well Well' is packed full of them. Sure, their spiky riffing has been compared to The Jam, Razorlight and inevitably Arctic Monkeys, but sift through their bags and youill find a band living and breathing music, from Bedouin Soundclash to Rod Stewart to Dr Dre and back. Lyrically, they’re streets ahead, maybe even ahead of The Streets, with their tales of fake poseurs ('Showroom'), hostage situations ('Send In The Boys') and the mysteries of the fairer sex ('Storm In A Teacup'): this is writing with it's British observational pencil sharpened to a fine point.
