1980-90年代のフランスを代表するジャズ・ピアニストで99年に惜しくも亡くなったミシェル・ペトルチアーニが、その前年にドイツで行ったスティーヴ・ガッド (ds)とアンソニー・ジャクソン (b)のトリオ編成によるライヴ。代表曲「リトル・ピース・イン・C」、マイルス・デイヴィスのカヴァー「ソー・ホワット」、エリントンの「A列車で行こう」など全8曲を収録。ペトルチアーニだけでなくガッドとジャクソンもこのトリオを<世界最高>と自負していたことがうなずける、軽快で繊細なピアノ演奏とそれに寄り添うようなドラムとベースの技と技巧が心地よい、ペトルチアーニの代表的映像作品と呼ぶに相応しい極上の60分。
