オーストラリア出身のマイケルながら、このアルバムはブルースやカントリーを感じさせるアメリカンな雰囲気のアルバムですね。持ち前のソウルフルな歌声を聴かせる曲と乗りのいいリズム重視な曲とのバランスが良いです。Brooke Whiteとの”Life Is OK”が収録されなかったのは少し残念ですが、「 歌 」を聴きたい時に重宝しそうです。
