In A Perfect World

With IN A PERFECT WORLD, Merwin continues to create original sounds that are both unique and new yet accessible to all. The title track is a mantra to a wish we all have with a great beat, layered vocals and a stinging guitar. Speaking of vocals, Merwin shows his harmonic capabilities in the second song on the album, HOLD ME - a crowd favorite during his summer tour in small venues in New York's Hudson Valley. MY DREAM COME TRUE is a beautiful love song rhythmically driven by acoustic guitar on top of which he adds a lovely melody. In JUST WHAT YOU NEED, he let's loose with his guitar and piano playing as the song features song-length solos by each instrument which play off of each other throughout. I LIKE IT ANY WAY is a nasty good hard rock piece with some great lyrics. A fun song, WILD GIRL, sounds like it is definitely pop radio ready. And then, after all those great songs, Merwin invites us to listen to four songs, I'M GOING TO FIND YOU, OCEAN, MOJAVE and SITTING HERE WAITING, which combine to create an incredible longer song with four movements.
