This is the first album from Max Plankton! Max is an indie-prog-power-pop band from the Chicago area. It's a guitar-based trio, with top-notch players, tasty arrangements, and sometimes funny, sometimes thoughtful, and always quirky lyrics. Influences include Elvis Costello, and like Elvis, they touch on many genres. Lyrically, they're a bit like They Might Be Giants, touching on topics that haven't been overused in popular music (for example, Esophagitis). Fun live show, too -- go see them!
