Telluric

2016 debut full-length from acclaimed Australian artist Matt Corby. Corby originally wrote his debut album two years ago in Los Angeles, but unsatisfied with the results he scrapped the entire thing. His aim was to become self-sufficient in every aspect of the recording process-not just writing but song compositions and producing, too. Delving a little deeper, and a little darker, Corby spent the past few years in home studios all over the world ending up in a cottage in rural NSW Australia where he wrote, recorded and co-produced the album alongside Dann Hume. All those late night conversations, every semi-fledged thought, ended up on the album-a process Corby found therapeutic: I'm kind of playing psychologist to myself lyrically.
