Mark Howden is a musician, visual artist, engineer and producer based in Auckland, New Zealand. He has been recording with Waht Records, his production project since 2008 - where he recorded in a myriad of spaces including a derelict theatre, Tiritiri Matangi Island, an aircraft hangar, and a remote church in Northland, New Zealand. He even went as far as Brazil to record an album in a small seaside settlement called Morro Das Pedras. Howden launched Waht records as a commercial production studio in 2009 where his ethos was to work with everyone and anyone - literally hundreds of projects from demos to soundtracks to fully produced albums. He has a diverse background in music production - from songwriting, audio engineering, mixing and mastering, to live performance, audio-installation, live sound mixing and digital video production.
