Product Description

The creation of this album has been the result of living in two very different cultures where war is a common link. The singer songwriter grew up in the 1960s with the Vietnam war and personally lived the violence generated by the drug cartels and guerilla groups in Colombia in the 1970s and 1980s. His direct contact with the poor and disenfranchised are the source of inspiration for his music. He has experienced first hand the dramatic changes in society generated by warmongering in both the USA and Colombia. He has been inspired by singers of the talent of Bob Dylan, Don McLean, Woodie Guthrie, Niel Young, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Violeta Parra, Athahualpa Yupanqui, Victor Jara, Mercedes Sosa and Facundo Cabral among others. The three Buddhas depicted (Sidharta, Jesus and Black Elk) in the cover of his album bring forth a message for humanity showing us the only path to overcome our suffering, this is the Red path, the path of Dharma, the path towards enlightment where the 'Art of Peace' is the true 'Art of Life', the 'Art of Creation'.
