今年10周年を迎え、7月にBEST ALBUMをリリースしたMONKEY MAJIKが早くも6thALBUMを発売。2005年にリリースした2nd ALBUMはカナダから見た日本をテーマに、『eastview』というALBUMタイトルでしたが、今作はギリシャでレコーディングを行い、ギリシャから見た日本をテーマにALBUMタイトルは『westview』に決定。収録曲は、11月にリリースしたSINGLE収録曲、アニメ「ぬらりひょんの孫」オープニングテーマの「Sunshine」をはじめ、全12曲収録予定。
