Product Description

Shinichi Osawa is one of the talented few who can both pursue musical interest and achieve commercial success in this increasingly hit-and-gone industry. The three-year break hasn't dull his keen sense of Latin jazz-oriented pop. His superb fusion of club jazz, rare groove, Brazilian music and contemporary Japanese pops remain intact on his group's fifth set 'Next Wave'. However, as the title suggests, the producer/songwriter stretches into a more club-vibe, hip-hop mode. Highlights include 'Hikari', his reteaming with UA since the singer's 1996 hit 'Rhythm', and 'Shinin' featuring Dragon Ash's Kj. Osawa also collaborated with Korean pop singer Boa, his fellow producer Tei Towa and, from overseas, Armand Van Helden and Kelis among others.

「クラブミュージック」といわれるジャンル...

「クラブミュージック」といわれるジャンルのＣＤを、たくさん聞いていますが、このＣＤには、決定的な何かが欠落しています。おそらく、それは“グルーヴ”だと思います。シングルで持っている ＢoＡの曲もこのＣＤでは、全く違って聞こえます。絶賛するレビューも多く載っていますが、自分はこのＣＤでは ノレません。
