2006 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Lynyrd Skynrd are the Kings of Southern Rock. After 35 years of concerts and recordings the band continues to sell CDs and tickets consistently well. They are one of the best selling catalog bands in the soundscan era with an average of 1 million plus sold per year and 16 million sold to date. Impressive numbers for a little high school band out of Jacksonville, Florida. Skynyrd are an American institution. ABOUT THE ALBUM/COLLECTION: Lyve from Steel Town was originally released as a 2 CD set in April 1998 and as a video release in September 1999. The concert was recorded live at the Coca Cola Star Lake Amphitheater in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania on July 15, 1997. Sanctuary has now compiled a single 1198 midline priced greatest hits CD from the original 2 CD set. This CD is also available as a slim line double disc set combined with the original 15 track concert DVD for the suggested list price of 1998. The releases are the launch titles for Sanctuary's new Live Hits series.
